Each kit differs in size, and so the variety and quantity of items is limited by the size of the pack. Specifics for each kit are included online on their respective products page. All kits are well thought out and designed to be useful in every region in North America, and with all seasons in mind. Also, many of the components of all the kits are multi-functional, and most are re-useable.

Currently our kits are sold as described on their respective product pages. At the present time we do not offer our customers the ability to customize their kits, with the exception of the choices available when adding a bugout bag to the shopping cart (ie. choosing the backpack). However, keep in mind that the packs that we have built are tried and tested in multiple environments and seasons, and everything that is included is of emergency and survival value. Upon receipt of your bugout bag, you can add or remove items as you wish, to accommodate your specific needs and requirements.

Customizing kits is something that we are unable to do at the present time. All of our bugout bag components serve an important, if not vital function in our kits. Even if you are unable to picture a purpose for one of the items, we assure you it will have value in an emergency situation. However, if you see it fit to remove some of the components from your backpack, you are completely free to do so. All of our items can serve a purpose outside of survival emergencies.

Way to think ahead! Most of the function of the components in our bugout survival gear bags are quite simple and self explanatory. That having been said, there are some things that can be utilized in unintended manners (such as a shovel being used as an axe, or vasoline being used as a fire starter instead of a lubricant). It is important to be resourceful, and to know what you have. When a need comes up, we trust you will use your wits to adapt our survival kit to overcome any survival hurdles. Typically, the answer is no. We are trying to streamline the building and shipping process to avoid confusion. However, if you are adamant about adding something that we have in our inventory, especially prior to shipping, we might be able to accommodate you at an extra cost. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will do what we can, within reason.

Shipping Information

At the present time, Bugout Survival Gear ships to all US states except Hawaii, and all Canadian provinces and territories. If you would like to purchase our products from beyond these areas of North America, please contact us, and we might be able to accommodate you.

Once your bugout survival products have been shipped, the rest of their journey is out of our hands. In most cases you will be emailed a shipping confirmation, which normally includes a tracking number. Please use the tracking number in one of the many parcel tracking websites or apps on the internet to stay informed on the shipping status of your parcel.

It is important that you provide us with the correct shipping information at the time of your purchase. Items will be shipped using the shipping information provided when you use our checkout. If changes need to be made be sure you contact us immediately! We should be able to make changes, assuming the parcel has not shipped yet. Please keep in mind that we do not ship outside the United States and Canada at this time.

Returns and Refunds

We are a small business, and we aim to please. Prior to returning our kit, please get in touch with us to see if we can resolve any issues with your purchase. However, if we cannot make you happy with your purchase, and in order to make a return, all the original items must be returned in unused condition. If items have been used, damaged, opened, or swapped out we will not issue a refund, and you will be responsible for shipping and handling charges to ship the kit back to you. You are responsible for the return shipping of the products. Our refunds do not include payment processing fees or shipping.

Our products are shipped as described. There should be no surprises, as we have detailed our bugout bags in some detail. However, we do want nothing but satisfied customers. That having been said, if we cannot resolve the issues that are driving you to return your purchase, you can do so within 14 days of the shipping date of the original order. Contact us to start the return process.

Each bugout survival kit is checked twice while packing, and components are visually inspected, then carefully packed. However, shit happens. If you have a missing a component or have received a broken item at time of receipt, please contact us. We will either replace the item, or issue a partial refund to you in such cases.
