Our lightweight kit is the perfect kit for "must move fast" situations, or for smaller individuals. Though this kit does offer less carrying capacity, it does provide the owner with all of the survival essentials of our other kits. With this kit in hand, you will have everything you need to start a fire, purify water, and build a shelter.
Additionally, this kit distributes the weight of its components by splitting the pack between the backpack and the molle waist belt.
Elastic bungee cord with carabiner clips at both ends. The cord is 120cm (47") long, and the maximum carrying weight is 10 kg (22 lbs). Carabiners are removable, and may be used elsewhere. It is recommended to use this bungee to organize / attach your blanket to the outside of your survival pack.
Quickly and easily connect and disconnect ropes, chains and straps with this carabiner. Black zinc plating and steel construction provide a working load limit of 250 lbs. Not to be used for climbing. It is recommended that this carabiner be used to attach a canteen / water bottle to your backpack, when it is not being used to perform a heavier task.
This 12oz stainless steel camp cup features a folding wire bail handle with protective leather cover. Cup can be placed directly onto embers or near fire to heat water or food, and the leather handle protects your hands from being burnt when the cup is hot.

Lightweight nylon rope with a core and a sheath. Originally used in military parachutes, this is a relatively thin but very tough multi-purpose rope. In survival situations this rope can be used to create shelters, to aid in medical emergencies, to tie items together, to create traps and more.
Super tough contractor grade garbage bag. Heavy duty 3mil plastic, and a 158L (42 gallon) capacity, this bag can be used for storage, waterproofing, building a shelter, or as an impromptu rain coat.

Dubbed an "explorer tool", this component features a compass with a set of compact fold-out binoculars for magnification, or maybe even starting a fire. On a short length of cord.
Small microfiber cloth. To be used as a wash cloth, or whatever else you may need to use a cloth for. Microfiber cloths are more effective at removing dirt and germs than traditional cleaning cloths, and they are also more efficient.
Budget diamond braided rope with a winder, to keep your rope organized and tangle free. Total length is 12m (40 feet), and thickness is 4.8mm (3/16 inch).
Wet wipes are an invaluable survival resource. Aside from serving the function of cleaning, they should be used sparingly for functions such as cleaning wounds and wiping butts.

Small folding shovel with one serrated edge. This shovel can also be converted to a pick. Relatively hardy, but can be folded into a very small configuration, and does not weigh much.
Very durable cotton black non-woven blanket. This blanket was chosen for our kits because it is very hardy and can be used either as a mat to sleep on, or to wrap around yourself for warmth. This is the smaller size used in kits.
Survival ferro rod fire starter kit featuring fling and steel striker on a short length of rope. Throws off extremely hot sparks to start fires in all weather conditions. Can be used for thousands of strikes. Glow in the dark head to prevent the loss of the ferro rod in the dark (as long as the rod is exposed to sun to charge). If you never used a ferro rod before, do not be intimidated: it is fun, and a little badass too!
