Our lightweight kit is the perfect kit for "must move fast" situations, or for smaller individuals. Though this kit does offer less carrying capacity, it does provide the owner with all of the survival essentials of our other kits. With this kit in hand, you will have everything you need to start a fire, purify water, and build a shelter.
Additionally, this kit distributes the weight of its components by splitting the pack between the backpack and the molle waist belt.
Elastic bungee cord with carabiner clips at both ends. The cord is 120cm (47") long, and the maximum carrying weight is 10 kg (22 lbs). Carabiners are removable, and may be used elsewhere. It is recommended to use this bungee to organize / attach your blanket to the outside of your survival pack.
Quickly and easily connect and disconnect ropes, chains and straps with this carabiner. Black zinc plating and steel construction provide a working load limit of 250 lbs. Not to be used for climbing. It is recommended that this carabiner be used to attach a canteen / water bottle to your backpack, when it is not being used to perform a heavier task.

A small sized hatchet is a lightweight alternative to a medium hatchet, and an essential survival tool. It can be used to chop wood, cut rope, or as a defensive weapon. We typically include small hatchets in our smaller packs. They include a sheath that can be attached to the outside of your kit, or can be hung from your waist belt. As an added bonus, the handle is wrapped in cordage, which may be removed and used as needed.
After some careful research, we developed a tiny, lightweight fire kit enclosed in a small tin that is so full of goodies that we have to wrap it with a rubber band. The kit includes a lighter, matches, a tea light candle, some aluminum foil, and vasoline infused cotton balls as an all-weather firestarter. The tin can be used to make char cloth as well.
Two small microfiber cloths. To be used as a wash cloth, bandaging, or whatever else you may need to use a cloth for. Microfiber cloths are more effective at removing dirt and germs than traditional cleaning cloths, and they are also more efficient.

Our pocket knives are small, brand name folding knives. They are an excellent quality for the price, and so make for a valuable lightweight addition to our bugout kits. Most come with a pocket clip that allows you to carry the knife comfortably attached to your pocket or a belt, but we recommend to keep this valuable tool either in your pocket or in an easily accessible pocket of your bugout bag.

This stainless steel water bottle is a perfect fit for our bugout kits and an even better fit for kits that include a waist belt pouch. This water bottle can be used to boil water, as long as the cap is never heated (it has a plastic seal).
Survival ferro rod fire starter kit featuring fling and steel striker on a short length of rope. Throws off extremely hot sparks to start fires in all weather conditions. Can be used for thousands of strikes. Glow in the dark head to prevent the loss of the ferro rod in the dark (as long as the rod is exposed to sun to charge). If you never used a ferro rod before, do not be intimidated: it is fun, and a little badass too!
